Here are 911 Calls for Service responded to by the Valley Regional Fire Authority (VRFA) from May 19–25, 2025:
- Aid Call: (Auburn) On Monday, May 19th at 8:30 a.m., VRFA firefighters responded to an adult pregnant female in active labor. Firefighters successfully delivered a baby boy inside the residence, with King County Medic One paramedics assisting on scene. Both mother and baby were transported to Valley Medical Center for continued care.
- Minor Fire: (Auburn) On Tuesday, May 20, at 9:05 a.m., firefighters responded to a reports of a fire at a local dental office. Investigation revealed that a small battery pack had exploded while charging. Fortunately, the fire was contained to a cabinet, and no one was injured.
- Aid Call: (Auburn) On Wednesday, May 21st at 4:18 p.m., VRFA firefighters and King County Medic One paramedics responded to an unconscious diabetic patient. Firefighters found the patient with very low blood sugar and administered IV glucose. Despite treatment, the patient remained confused and was transported to Valley Medical Center by King County Medic One, accompanied by a VRFA firefighter.
- Aid Call: (Lea Hill) On Thursday, May 22nd at 3:41 p.m., VRFA firefighters responded to a child with an arm injury. The patient was evaluated and treated on scene before being transported to Seattle Children’s Hospital by private ambulance for further care.
- Aid Call: (Auburn) On Friday, May 23rd at 9:41 a.m., VRFA firefighters responded alongside Auburn Police Department to an aid call for a patient complaining of hypertension. The patient was evaluated by firefighters and left in the care of APD.
- Motor Vehicle Accident: (Auburn) On Saturday, May 24th at 9:51 a.m., VRFA firefighters responded to a five-vehicle collision on southbound SR 167 just south of 37th St NW. Units from Puget Sound Regional Fire Authority, South King Fire & Rescue, and King County Medic One also responded. Six patients were evaluated on scene, and two were transported to local hospitals for further treatment and evaluation.
- Aid Call: (Auburn) On Saturday, May 24th at 7:23 p.m., VRFA Technical Rescue Team members were dispatched to assist units already on scene with two impaired juvenile teenagers located approximately a half mile down a trail near the Green River. The Technical Rescue Team utilized the all-wheel drive Mule to extract the teens from the heavily wooded area. Both patients were evaluated and treated by VRFA firefighters and King County Medic One paramedics, then transported to a local hospital by private ambulances.
- Motor Vehicle Accident: (Auburn) On Sunday, May 25th at 8:10 a.m., VRFA firefighters responded to a two-vehicle accident. Firefighters evaluated three patients with minor injuries, and two were transported to MultiCare Auburn Medical Center for further treatment.
