Here are 911 Calls for Service responded to by the Valley Regional Fire Authority (VRFA) from July 21–July 27, 2025:
- Brush Fire: (Auburn) On Monday, July 21st at 8:17 a.m., VRFA firefighters responded to a brush fire between westbound Highway 18 and the northbound SR 167 on-ramp. The fire was spreading quickly and grew to approximately 40 by 20 feet. Multiple Washington State Patrol troopers assisted with dry chemical extinguishers. Firefighters fully extinguished the fire by digging out hot spots and creating a control line between the burned and unburned vegetation.
- Dumpster Fire: (Auburn) On Tuesday, July 22nd at 8:00 p.m., VRFA firefighters responded to two separate dumpster fires located within one block of each other. Both fires were extinguished by Engine 336. Auburn Police Department was called to the scene to investigate the ignition source.
- Aid Call: (Auburn) On Wednesday, July 23rd at 8:30 a.m., VRFA firefighters responded to an adult female complaining of a possible fractured arm after a fall. Firefighters treated the patient on scene, and she was transported to MultiCare Auburn Medical Center by private ambulance.
- Aid Call: (Pacific) On Thursday, July 24th at 4:59 p.m., VRFA firefighters responded to a child who had placed a foreign object in his nostril. Upon arrival, firefighters found that the child had removed the object on his own. The child was evaluated and left on scene in the care of his parent.
- Minor Fire: (Auburn) On Friday, July 25th at 5:49 p.m., VRFA firefighters responded to reports of smoke coming from the attic of a residence. On arrival, firefighters observed light smoke exiting the gable vent of a small one-story home. Crews discovered a smoldering fire in the corner of the attic, which they accessed and extinguished from the exterior. Residents reported electrical issues shortly before the fire started. The cause is under investigation by the VRFA Fire Marshal’s Office.
- Aid Call: (Auburn) On Saturday, July 26th at 9:19 a.m., VRFA firefighters were dispatched to assist an adult male who sustained injuries from a fall. Firefighters assessed the patient on scene, and he was transported to MultiCare Auburn Medical Center by private ambulance.
- Brush Fire: (Auburn) On Sunday, July 27th at 2:23 p.m., VRFA firefighters responded to reports of a brush fire along the White River east of Game Farm Wilderness Park. Firefighters arrived to find a 50′ x 50′ fire burning in light fuels. Crews quickly cut a line around the fire to contain it and prevent further spread. The area was overhauled to ensure complete extinguishment. The cause of the fire was undetermined.
