Here are 911 Calls for Service responded to by the Valley Regional Fire Authority (VRFA) from Dec. 23–Dec. 29, 2024:
- Motor Vehicle Accident: (Auburn) On Monday, December 23rd at 5:57 p.m., VRFA firefighters responded to a motor vehicle accident on eastbound SR 18 at Weyerhaeuser Way S. They arrived to find three vehicles involved in a rear-end collision. Firefighters assessed three patients, treated them on scene, and transported them to St. Francis Hospital for further evaluation.
- Motor Vehicle Accident: (Auburn) On Tuesday, December 24th at 2:52 p.m., VRFA firefighters responded to a multi-vehicle collision involving two passenger cars and a pickup truck. Firefighters triaged the occupants of all three vehicles and identified two with minor injuries. Both patients were evaluated by firefighters but declined transport, stating their injuries did not require further treatment at a hospital.
- Aid Call: (Lea Hill) On Wednesday, December 25th at 7:25 p.m., VRFA firefighters responded to an 11-month-old female with a possible allergic reaction to food. On arrival, firefighters assessed the child and determined she had likely temporarily choked on the food rather than experiencing an allergic reaction. The parents chose to monitor her at home and planned to transport her via personal vehicle if needed.
- Motor Vehicle Accident: (Auburn) On Thursday, December 26th at 9:23 a.m., VRFA firefighters responded to a two-vehicle collision on 8th St NE east of M St NE. One driver, found in cardiac arrest, was pronounced deceased despite resuscitation efforts by Auburn Police, firefighters, and King County Medic One paramedics. The other driver was treated on scene and transported to a local hospital. Auburn Police are investigating the incident.
- Aid Call: (Pacific) On Thursday, December 26th at 2:06 p.m., VRFA firefighters assisted an elderly male who tipped over in his motorized scooter. He was evaluated on scene and transported to Good Samaritan Hospital by private ambulance for further care.
- Aid Call: (Auburn) On Friday, December 27th at 9:56 a.m., VRFA firefighters treated an adult female experiencing sudden aphasia and a severe headache, recognizing signs of a hemorrhagic stroke. After King County Medic One paramedics arrived for additional care, she was transported to Valley Medical Center for further treatment.
- Car Accident: (Lakeland Hills) On Saturday, December 28th at 2:16 p.m., VRFA firefighters responded to a two-vehicle collision on Lake Tapps Parkway SE. One occupant with a hand injury was treated by firefighters and transported to MultiCare Auburn Medical Center by his daughter. The other occupant was uninjured. Auburn Police are investigating the cause.
- Overdose: (Auburn) On Sunday, December 29th at 2:43 p.m., VRFA firefighters responded to a welfare check for a person down on the ground, and they found the individual was experiencing an overdose. Firefighters administered Naloxone, and the patient declined further evaluation or hospital transport once alert. The patient was provided Naloxone per King County Department of Health policy.
