Police are asking for the public’s help locating a vulnerable missing adult who has dementia and was last seen in the Auburn area after leaving a residence in Kent.

According to the Kent Police Department, 63-year-old Robert Peysano has been missing since Monday afternoon, Mar. 2 after walking away from a friend’s home in Auburn.

Police said Peysano had walked from his adult family home in the 22500 block of 108th Avenue SE in Kent to a friend’s residence in Auburn with a family member. After arriving near the friend’s home, Peysano walked away and has not been seen since.

Family members and friends searched locations he is known to visit before contacting police, according to the Kent Police Department.

Authorities said Peysano’s phone was last active in the area of A Street SW and 2nd Street SW in Auburn (map below). Officers from the Kent and Auburn police departments searched the area but did not locate him.

Police said it is unknown whether Peysano may be attempting to walk back toward his adult family home in Kent.

Peysano is described as 5 feet 6 inches tall, weighing about 150 pounds, with blue eyes. He was last seen wearing a black baseball cap, a sweatshirt and blue jeans.

Police said he is known to walk long distances and sometimes uses King County Metro Transit. He may also attempt to rent a hotel room.

Anyone who sees Peysano is asked to call 911 immediately, according to the Kent Police Department.
