The Auburn School District Board of Directors recognized Alec Acosta-Vega, a senior at Auburn High School, for being an outstanding student at the November 12 board meeting.
Acosta-Vega is a dedicated, enthusiastic student who pours himself into his passions, primarily robotics and journalism. He has represented Auburn High in both robotics and journalism competitions at the local, state and national levels. He also pushes himself academically, taking Advanced Placement classes and maintaining a rigorous course load in addition to his busy extracurricular schedule.
Upon graduation in June, he will be the third in his family to graduate from Auburn High School.
