A five-car collision on westbound State Route 18 near Auburn Way caused significant traffic delays Friday morning, Jan. 10, 2025, though only minor injuries were reported, according to the Washington State Patrol (WSP).
Emergency responders arrived at the scene shortly after the crash was reported and assessed the situation.
Traffic was able to pass through the area with caution, but delays were lengthy as tow trucks worked to clear the vehicles from the roadway.
The Washington State Patrol has not yet released full details about the cause of the collision, but investigations are ongoing.
Motorists were encouraged to consider alternate routes to avoid congestion while the cleanup was completed.
