We officially are at the two-week mark until the 2020 Primary Election! Remember, if you are not registered to vote in the state of Washington or need to update your voter registration, go to Vote.wa.gov. The last day to register to vote or update your registration online is July 27.

Voters do not have to declare a party affiliation to vote in the primary. If you are a registered voter and do not receive your ballot, contact your county (King or Pierce) elections department.

31st Legislative District

The 31st Legislative District is one of the 49 legislative districts that make up Washington State’s House of Representatives. The district is entirely in southeast King County. The cities included in the 31st Legislative District are Auburn, Bonney Lake, Buckley, Carbonado, Edgewood, Enumclaw, South Prairie, Sumner, and Wilkeson. Portions of Unincorporated King County are represented by the 31st Legislative District.

I have often times been selected by my peers to represent our shared interest. I was chosen to represent the Miners of STP opposing “right to work” legislation in 2017. I was elected to be a Delegate in 2016 primaries up to the State Level.

Every legislative decision we make must consider the climate crisis and focus on creating a thriving, sustainable economy and future.

As we rebound from this unprecedented public health crisis, I’ll fight to safely restore jobs, stimulate our economy and maintain crucial services for struggling families, all while continuing my efforts to make childcare, college and medicine more accessible and affordable for all Washingtonians.

Important 2020 Primary Dates

July 27: LAST DAY for online and mail voter registration and updates! These must be received 8 days before Election Day. You are still able to register to vote and update your voter registration in person during business hours and any time before 8:00 p.m. on Election Day.
July 31: Unofficial, it is recommended that if mailing in your ballot, you return it by the Friday before Election Day to ensure it is postmarked by Election Day.
August 4: Deadline for in-person voter registration and updates (up to 8:00 pm).
August 4: Primary – Returned ballots must be postmarked or deposit your ballot in an official drop box by 8 pm on Election Day.
