VRFA Blotter: Overdose, residential fire, accident, elevator rescues, downed tree & more

Here are 911 Calls for Service responded to by the Valley Regional Fire Authority (VRFA) from Oct. 20–Oct. 26, 2025:

  • Overdose (Auburn): On Monday, October 20th at 2:16 p.m., VRFA firefighters responded to reports of an adult male experiencing an overdose. On scene, VRFA personnel and King County Medic One paramedics treated and stabilized the patient, who was then transported to a local hospital by private ambulance for further care.
  • Residential Fire (Auburn): On Tuesday, October 21st at 2:58 p.m., VRFA firefighters responded to a residential fire. One occupant was rescued from the kitchen and transported to Harborview Medical Center by King County Medic One. Firefighters extinguished the fire and assisted affected residents, with additional support provided by the Red Cross.
  • Motor Vehicle Accident (Unincorporated Auburn): On Wednesday, October 22nd at 7:05 p.m., VRFA firefighters were wrapping up a separate emergency in Mountainview Fire & Rescue’s response area when they were dispatched to a nearby car versus pedestrian accident. Firefighters arrived to find one adult male with serious injuries. VRFA firefighters and King County Medic One paramedics treated the patient on scene, and he was transported to Harborview Medical Center by Airlift Northwest for further care.
  • Aid Call (Auburn): On Thursday, October 23rd at 12:30 p.m., VRFA firefighters responded to an adult male experiencing a diabetic emergency. Firefighters and King County Medic One paramedics treated the patient on scene, and he was transported to St. Francis Medical Center for continued care.
  • Aid Call (Auburn): On Friday, October 24th at 12:09 p.m., VRFA firefighters and King County Medic One paramedics responded to an adult male found unconscious. Firefighters and paramedics treated the patient on scene, and he was transported to MultiCare Auburn Medical Center by private ambulance.
  • Elevator Rescue (Auburn): On Saturday, October 25th at 6:04 p.m., VRFA firefighters and Technical Rescue Technicians, along with Puget Sound Regional Fire Authority Technical Rescue Technicians, responded to the Muckleshoot Casino for reports of multiple occupants trapped in several elevators. Crews secured power to the elevators to prevent movement and successfully rescued a total of eight occupants.
  • Non-Aid Service Call (Auburn): On Sunday, October 26th at 4:59 p.m., VRFA firefighters responded to reports of a tree down across a roadway. Firefighters arrived to find a tree partially fallen and supported by a guardrail, just high enough for cars to pass underneath. Crews stopped traffic in both directions and quickly removed the tree, reopening the road to traffic.
