VRFA Blotter: Overdose, illegal burn, assault, accident & more

Here are 911 Calls for Service responded to by the Valley Regional Fire Authority (VRFA) from Nov. 5–Nov. 10, 2024:

  • Aid Call: (Auburn) On Monday, November 14th, at 12:42 p.m., VRFA firefighters responded to an unresponsive adult female. Upon arrival, crews found the patient without a pulse and immediately began CPR. King County Medic One paramedics and firefighters worked together to continue life-saving efforts on the scene. The patient was transported to Valley Medical Center by paramedics, with assistance from VRFA firefighters.
  • Aid Call: (Auburn) On Tuesday, November 5th, at 6:20 p.m., VRFA firefighters responded to an adult female experiencing chest pain. Firefighters, along with King County Medic One paramedics, treated the patient on scene. She was then transported to Auburn Medical Center for further evaluation and care.
  • Aid Call: (Lakeland Hills) On Wednesday, November 6th, at 2:45 p.m., VRFA firefighters responded to an adult female who had overdosed. Firefighters provided care on the scene, and the patient was transported by private ambulance to Auburn MultiCare for further treatment.
  • Illegal Burn: (Auburn) On Thursday, November 7th at 6:54 p.m., VRFA firefighters responded to a report of a fire in Les Gove Park. Upon arrival, the crew found a small smoldering campfire on a concrete slab under a gazebo. Firefighters quickly extinguished the fire, and no damage was done to the structure.
  • Aid Call: (Pacific) On Friday, November 8th at 1:46 p.m., firefighters responded to an adult male who had been assaulted by a co-worker. The patient was evaluated on scene and remained with local law enforcement.
  • Car Accident: (Auburn) On Saturday, November 9th at 4:00 p.m., firefighters responded to a two-vehicle accident. Both vehicles were traveling southbound on A St. SE when one vehicle rear-ended the other, causing moderate damage and injuring one occupant. Firefighters secured both vehicles, and the injured occupant was evaluated but chose to self-transport to the hospital against medical advice.
  • Aid Call: (Algona) On Sunday, November 10th at 9:02 p.m., VRFA firefighters responded to an adult family home for an elderly man who had not been eating for a few days and was confused. Firefighters evaluated the patient, who was then transported by private ambulance to MultiCare Auburn Medical Center for further care.
