Soos Creek Botanical Garden to host free propagation class in Auburn Wednesday, May 20

Gardeners looking to expand their yards and learn new skills can attend a free “Propagation Tips” class at Soos Creek Botanical Garden on Wednesday, May 20, from 12:30 p.m. to 2 p.m.

Master Gardener Fred Wemer will lead the session, teaching participants how to propagate plants through cuttings and other techniques to expand their gardens or share plants with others.

“From cuttings for fun, to creating more plants for your garden or to share,” the event description states. “Expand what you have in the yard.”

The class will cover timing, growing mediums and techniques intended to improve success with plant propagation, according to the garden.

Attendees also will be encouraged to experiment with different methods.

The garden said Wemer is a longtime Master Gardener.
