Today, Congresswoman Kim Schrier, M.D. (WA-08) visited the towns of Bonney Lake and Graham to meet with fire officials, thank them for their service, get an update on the wildfires, and ensure they have all of the resources they need to protect their communities.
“Our firefighters are working so hard to protect property and knock down fires all over Washington state, and we are all grateful for their work and service to our communities. My heart goes out to families whose lives have been upended by the wildfires,” said Rep. Schrier. “I will keep working with elected officials at the state and federal level to get the funding needed to affected communities.”
Rep. Schrier’s stops included a briefing from Bonney Lake Fire Department officials, a visit to a Red Cross shelter for families who have been evacuated, and a meeting with Graham Fire Department officials and first responders.
If 8th district residents need assistance, they can contact Rep. Schrier’s office in Issaquah at 425-657-1001 or Wenatchee at 509-850-5340. Yesterday Rep. Schrier’s office released a Fire Recovery Guide that can be found here.
