Firefighters responded to Auburn Municipal Airport on Thursday afternoon, April 11, 2024, after a pilot reported landing gear issues on their incoming aircraft.
Crews from Valley Regional Fire Authority (VRFA) were staged at the airport upon notification and remained on scene as the pilot made a safe landing.
The pilot – who was not injured – was able to disembark from the plane without assistance.
There are currently no details available regarding the cause of the landing gear malfunction or the type of aircraft involved.
