A Washington State Patrol (WSP) Trooper attempted to stop a female driver on Wednesday, Sept. 11, 2024, on eastbound SR 18, just east of Auburn. The driver, however, continued driving for miles until two of her tires came off.
The vehicle eventually came to a halt near SR 516, where troopers found the driver in a disoriented state.
“The driver was barely coherent,” a WSP spokesperson said in a statement.
The drive was arrests for suspected DUI.
WSP has not yet released the identity of the driver, and the investigation is ongoing.
Traffic on SR 18 was briefly impacted while troopers and emergency personnel secured the scene.
