Auburn Police released an update that highlights the exceptional efforts of officers involved in foiling an attempted bank robbery on March 15, 2024.
Several police officers were involved in foiling the attempted bank robbery on March 15, 2024 at Heritage Bank, where a suspicious individual was reported outside their building matching an FBI BOLO (Be On the Lookout) alert.
The quick-thinking bank manager locked the doors and alerted the Auburn Police Department.
Officers swiftly responded and apprehended the male suspect inside a nearby Fred Meyer store. The suspect was wanted for multiple bank robberies in Pierce and King County. During a search incident to arrest, officers discovered a bank robbery note in his pocket.
