Auburn Police seek suspect in smash and grab robbery at Cash America Pawn

Auburn Police are searching for a masked suspect who used a mini sledgehammer to smash a display case and steal multiple pieces of jewelry during a robbery at Cash America Pawn on Friday, Dec. 5.

Police said the theft occurred around 6:30 p.m.

The suspect reportedly fled after leaving behind both a tote bag and the sledgehammer used in the crime.

Investigators believe the suspect drove away in a gray Ford Fusion, model years 2010 to 2012. The vehicle had no license plates, white fuzzy dice hanging from the rearview mirror and noticeable rear end damage. It was last seen heading northbound and may have entered northbound State Route 167 from 277th.
