The Auburn Police Department’s Special Investigations Unit ran a “Racer Emphasis” patrol on Saturday night, Feb. 24, 2024.
Police said that the “meet up” for the racers occurred at Bowman Creek Elementary School, and this emphasis was done with the knowledge and permission of the Auburn School District.
SIU Detective stats from the night are as follows:
- 11 arrested for Racing or Trespassing
- 1 Traffic Infraction
- 2 Vehicles Towed
There wasn’t damage to any property and no use of force was used during any of the arrests.
“A job well done by our SIU team as we try to keep the streets as safe as possible in Auburn,” police said.
