VRFA Blotter: Allergic reaction, rollover accident, head injury & more

Here are 911 Calls for Service responded to by the Valley Regional Fire Authority (VRFA) from May 6–May 12, 2024:

  • Aid Call: (Pacific) On Monday, May 6th at 3:35 p.m., VRFA firefighters responded to an adult female reporting weakness. Upon arrival, firefighters assessed the patient and observed symptoms consistent with acute coronary syndrome. Firefighters, along with King County Medic One Paramedics, administered treatment at the scene. The patient was then transported to MultiCare Auburn Medical Center by private ambulance.
  • Aid Call: (Auburn) On Tuesday, May 7th at 5:37 p.m., VRFA firefighters responded to an adult female experiencing upper abdominal pain. Upon assessment, firefighters determined the woman to be in stable condition but required additional care and diagnostics at a hospital. The patient was transported to a local hospital by a private ambulance.
  • Aid Call: (Auburn) On Wednesday, May 8th at 4:02 p.m., VRFA firefighters responded to a 1-year-old female experiencing a febrile seizure. Firefighters provided immediate treatment on the scene before transporting her to Auburn Medical Center for further care.
  • Aid Call: (Auburn) On Thursday, May 9th at 10:16 a.m., VRFA firefighters responded to a female patient experiencing an allergic reaction. The patient was stabilized on the scene, and crews administered epinephrine. After evaluation by King County Medic One Paramedics, she was transported by private ambulance to MultiCare Auburn Medical Center for further evaluation.
  • Aid Call: (Auburn) On Friday, May 10th at 11:22 p.m., VRFA firefighters responded to an adolescent female experiencing a decreased level of consciousness. Working with King County Medic One Paramedics and onsite nursing staff, firefighters provided immediate care for the patient. Following assessment, it was decided that the patient would best be evaluated at Children’s Hospital in Seattle. King County Medic One transported and monitored her during transit.
  • Motor Vehicle Collision: (Auburn) On Saturday, May 11th, at 10:46 p.m., VRFA firefighters responded to reports of a rollover accident on northbound SR 167. Upon arrival, firefighters discovered an adult male who was ejected from the vehicle and thrown approximately 30 feet. The patient received immediate evaluation and stabilization on the scene, including the use of a long spine board and cervical collar. The patient was carefully transported up an embankment, reassessed, and then transferred to Harborview Medical Center by King County Medic One Paramedics.
  • Aid Call: (Auburn) On Sunday, May 12th at 8:08 p.m., VRFA firefighters responded to an adult male who had sustained a head injury from a fall. Firefighters assessed the patient’s condition and administered necessary first aid, including bandaging the wound. The patient was safely transported to a local hospital by private ambulance for further medical attention.
