Two suspects have been arrested in association with the Auburn, Milton and Tacoma P.O. Box break-ins that occurred this summer. According to a press release from the USPS Postal Inspectors, one of the males in the video, identified as Justin Lee Tate, was arrested and charged out of Pierce County. A second female, Taleetha Revels, was identified and also arrested. Revels was not captured on footage, but was involved in criminal activity related to the break-ins after they took place.
“Both Tate and Revels were arrested and charged in August 2019 with multiple felony counts of Identity Theft, Forgery, and Theft as it relates to checks stolen from PO Boxes,” stated the press release. They are both charged in Pierce County Superior. The USPS Postal Inspectors have extended their thanks to the Pierce County Sheriff’s Department for their assistance in this case.
“The two additional suspects have been identified and remain persons of interest related to this case, but no charges have been filed against them at this time,” said Postal Inspector John A. Wiegand. The USPS Postal Inspectors continue to investigate this case.
At this time the Auburn Post Office has been locking lobby doors outside of normal business hours. This change is a district decision and it is unknown when, or if, this will change.
