The streets of downtown Auburn were filled with jovial women March 29th, out to experience the Auburn Downtown Association’s first Girl’s Night Out.  Jen Reeves, owner of A Little Knitty and Auburn Downtown Association board member, organized the event. “I’m beyond thrilled with the turnout and the weather. The vibe downtown was so fun, and it was great to see all the smiles and bonding. We needed a night out!”

The first 50 event goers to check in at Rail Hop’n Brews received a swag bag.  Reeves confirmed that all 50 bags were gone quickly.  The event had a suggested root, with gold balloons outside participating businesses to guide the way.

Pop-up shops were hosted inside some shops to help promote small, independent, businesses.  Participating pop-up shops appeared to do well with the event, “I have only heard from a few, but it seems like they did well and it’s always good to get your name out there,” said Reeves.

Each business provided a special or tasty nosh for ladies to enjoy.  (As an editorial note, Rainbow Café had some of the richest, gooiest brownies I’ve ever had.)  “We received so many thank yous. It was amazing how sweet everyone was,” shared Reeves.
