Rep. Schrier Applauds House Passage of HR 1, the “For the People Act”

Schrier. “This package will make it easier to vote and puts the government back in the hands of the American people, where it has always belonged. Key provisions of H.R. 1, the For the People Act, include:

  • Expanding automatic voter registration and same day registration
  • Strengthening vote by mail, like what we have in Washington State
  • Protecting elections from foreign interference
  • Enforcing ethics and conflict of interest rules for all government officials
