What began for many as a simple Facebook post shared by the Washington State Funeral Directors’ Association turned into an outpour of love and support from the public.

Warren G. Robinson Jr. was an unclaimed Army Veteran who died July 4, 2019, in Longview, WA.  Information of unclaimed status and details of his pending internment quickly spread on social media.  Instead of sharing the information and moving on as so many often do, plans to attend Robinson’s services also began to spread.

Traffic into the Tahoma National Cemetery stretched at least a mile long at one point.  Attendees had to walk in, and none complained of the need.  They were there for Robinson.  A veteran once unclaimed, but now claimed by the public who were there to say goodbye.
