Tacoma Evergreen Lutheran renders Auburn Muckleshoot Tribal’s offense pointless 40-0
Gut-tough defense was the order of the day when Tacoma Evergreen Lutheran trounced Auburn Muckleshoot Tribal School 40-0 to the tune of a shutout in Sea-Tac League 1B high school football March 5.
Both offenses were stymied without points on either side in the first and third quarters.
Tacoma Wright stomps past Auburn Rainier Christian 56-0
No scoring allowed. That was the mantra Tacoma Wright followed in overpowering Auburn Rainier Christian 56-0 in this matchup on March 5.
Defense ruled the first and third quarters as Tacoma Wright and Auburn Rainier Christian were both scoreless.
Rainier Christian’s faces Evergreen Lutheran High School next on March 13 (away). Muckleshoot Tribal hosts Quilcene High School March 12 (home). The Kings and Mustangs face each other March 19.
Vikings Clobber the Spartans
In other local high school sports, Sumner High School was matched with Puyallup High defeated Sumner High, 38-13.
Fireworks are most common on the Fourth of July, but Puyallup broke out its own form of pyrotechnics during its 38-13 explosion on the Sumner Spartans in Friday’s game.
Puyallup’s authority showed as it carried a 28-6 lead into the fourth quarter. Puyallup’s offense darted to a 21-6 lead over Sumner at the intermission. The first quarter gave Puyallup a 7-3 lead over Sumner.
