Downtown Auburn will shine bright on Saturday, Dec. 6, 2025, when the City of Auburn holds its annual Lighted Santa Parade and Tree Lighting, a family-friendly tradition featuring illuminated floats, live music, and a visit from Santa Claus.
The free community celebration begins with pre-parade entertainment at 4 p.m. at City Hall, where holiday music and activities will welcome attendees ahead of the main event.
The Lighted Santa Parade will begin at 4:30 p.m., departing from Auburn High School and traveling down Main Street toward City Hall.
City officials said spectators can expect festive floats, school groups, dance teams, costumed characters, and local organizations showcasing creative lighted displays.
After the parade arrives at City Hall Plaza, the community will gather for Auburn’s official tree lighting ceremony. Santa Claus will help this year’s designated Tree Lighter illuminate the city’s holiday tree, accompanied by music, lights, and opportunities for photos.
Once the tree is lit, families can enjoy additional holiday tunes, festive lighting, snowfall effects, and photo opportunities throughout the plaza.
Participation is open to the public, and the city is encouraging families, nonprofits, and local businesses to enter creative lighted displays for the parade. Entries must register online by 5 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 21, 2025.
