Residents who are serviced by Waste Management and live within the city limits of Auburn can recycle their live Christmas tree and organic wreath for no additional cost.
If you live outside of the Auburn city limits (in unincorporated King County Auburn), contact your garbage and recycling hauler for Christmas tree recycling information.
COLLECTION DATES:
- Single-family, Duplex, Condo/townhome residents (billed for garbage service directly) residents: Collection will be the week of January 8-12, 2024 on your garbage collection day. Place your tree/wreath by your carts on your garbage collection day by 7:00 a.m.
- Mobile Home Park residents: Collection will be the week of January 8-12, 2024 on your garbage collection day. Residents, check with your property manager for where to place your tree/wreath by 7:00 a.m.
- Multifamily & Condo/townhome residents (billed for garbage service through property management): Place tree/wreath by collection area on Monday, January 8, 2024 by 7:00 a.m. Collection will be one day the week of January 8-12, 2024. Do not block collection area.
GUIDELINES:
- Cut tree into 4 foot pieces or smaller.
- Tree trunk should be no wider than 4” in diameter.
- Remove all garland, tinsel, and ornaments.
- No flocked or imitation trees/wreaths or other debris accepted.
- Limit 1 tree and wreath per household.
- Do not block containers for collection.
- Call the WM at 253-939-9792 within 24 hours if you are missed for collection. For mobile home parks and multifamily properties, property manager must call in a missed collection.
