Auburn Police – with the assistance of the Valley SWAT team – arrested a suspect wanted for multiple felony crimes on Friday, Dec. 6, 2024 at the Seasons at Lea Hill apartment complex.
Officers Pennock and Westland initially identified the suspect on Thursday, Dec. 5 after conducting vehicle and crime database checks.
The suspect was found to have multiple felony warrants, including first-degree robbery, unlawful possession of a firearm, and a Department of Corrections warrant for escape from community custody related to second-degree robbery.
On Dec. 6, Auburn officers returned to the apartment complex alongside SWAT team members, where they conducted a three-hour surveillance operation. At approximately 12:20 p.m., the suspect exited his apartment and was apprehended without incident.
During the arrest, officers discovered a loaded firearm in the suspect’s possession. In addition to the local warrants, the suspect was also wanted by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives (ATF). He was booked into the South Correctional Entity (SCORE) Jail on multiple warrants and faces an additional charge of unlawful possession of a firearm.
“A job well done by everyone involved!” police said in a statement.
