Auburn Police catch two suspects stealing motorcycle Thursday night

On Thursday night, Sept. 7, 2023, Detectives from the Auburn Police Department’s Special Investigation Unit (SIU) were conducting surveillance in the 1800 block of Howard Road SE (map below), as part of a special emphasis, when they on-viewed two suspects stealing a motorcycle.

Detectives were able to follow the suspects to a residence located in Auburn. A search warrant was obtained for the property, which was served by Officers from Auburn SWAT, Auburn’s Community Response Team, and Auburn SIU.

During the search warrant, a male fled from the property but was quickly arrested after a brief foot pursuit.

An additional male was arrested in the driveway.

Police said that the search warrant led to the recovery of the stolen motorcycle as well as two additional stolen vehicles.

One subject was booked into King County Jail and the other was transported to Pierce County Jail where he was booked on multiple felony warrants.

“Tremendous work done by the officers at APD in this case!” police said.
