Sound Transit contractor to begin Auburn alleyway work on Monday, Aug. 31

As early as Monday, Aug. 31, Sound Transit’s contractor will begin work in the alleyway located on A Street NW between 1st Street NW and 2nd Street NW, according to the agency.

Sound Transit said pedestrian access through the alleyway will be maintained throughout construction. However, due to the different phases of work scheduled for this week, access to parking spaces may be limited at times. Residents are encouraged to make alternate parking arrangements during active construction hours, including using the two available parking spaces in the driveway of the building located at 129 A St NW, Auburn, WA 98001.

Please allow extra time when entering or exiting the area, as construction crews may need to temporarily move equipment to provide access.

  • WHAT: Construction work will take place at the alleyway on A Street NW between 1st Street NW and 2nd Street NW.
  • WHEN: As early as Aug. 31 through Sept. 4
    • Work hours: Monday through Friday, 7 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.
  • WHERE: Alleyway located on A Street NW between 1st and 2nd Street NW
