A block of A Street NW in Auburn will close to through traffic around the clock from Monday, Oct. 12, through Friday, Nov. 6, with street parking and sidewalks also closed, according to Sound Transit.
The closure between 1st and 2nd streets NW will limit local access to emergency vehicles, businesses and residents.
Sound Transit asks drivers and pedestrians to follow the marked road and sidewalk detours.
The west entrance to Auburn Regional Medical Plaza will be closed throughout the work. Visitors should use the east entrance at 1st Street NW and North Division Street, the agency said.
Crews will maintain access for businesses and residents who need to reach the alleyway near the southbound lane of A Street NW.
Residents accessing the alley may drive past the road closure sign and turn into it, according to Sound Transit. They must enter and exit via 2nd Street NW.
Questions about the closure can be directed to Sound Transit’s outreach specialist at [email protected] or 253-303-3766. The construction hotline for assistance outside regular hours is 888-298-2395.
