On Tuesday, August 4 from 7:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., King County will close both directions of SE Lake Holm Road between SE Auburn Black Diamond Road and 129th Way SE for tree removal work. A signed detour will be posted and local access will be maintained. The trees that will be removed are too close to the roadway and could potentially fall onto the road. These trees are being removed to help keep the roadway safe from potential hazard.

Regarding the closer of SE Lake Holm Road & 129th Way S.E.. I took that road many years ago and will never take it again if I can help it. I can’t believe how a road like this was built, dropping down so quickly and winding onto the Auburn Black Diamond Road below. Could not believe a road like that ever existed. Very dangerous.
