Here are 911 Calls for Service responded to by the Valley Regional Fire Authority (VRFA) from May 13–May 19, 2024:
- Aid Call: (Auburn) On Friday, May 13th at 5:14 p.m., VRFA firefighters responded to an elderly man who had fallen in a gymnasium. Firefighters quickly determined the patient had experienced a period of unconsciousness and had an extensive cardiac history. VRFA firefighters requested King County medics to evaluate the patient’s heart. The patient was then transported by private ambulance to MultiCare Auburn Medical Center.
- Motor Vehicle Collision: (Pacific) On Tuesday, May 14th at 7:43 a.m., VRFA firefighters responded to a vehicle collision on northbound SR 167 at Ellingson Road. Upon arrival, they discovered a multi-vehicle collision effecting both the northbound and southbound lanes. Firefighters treated one critically injured adult female on scene, who was transported to Good Samaritan Hospital by private ambulance.
- Aid Call: (Auburn) On Wednesday, May 15th at 7:36 p.m., VRFA firefighters responded to an adult female who suffered multiple injuries from being assaulted during a fight. Firefighters found her in stable condition with no life-threatening injuries. She ultimately chose to stay home with her family and worked with the Auburn Police Department, who were on the scene investigating the incident.
- Aid Call: (Auburn) On Thursday, May 16th at 10:57 a.m., VRFA firefighters responded to an adult male who suffered an obvious broken femur. The man fell from a standing position and was unable to move. Firefighters applied traction and reset the leg before transporting him to Valley Medical Center for continued care.
- Motor Vehicle Collision: (Auburn) On Friday, May 17th at 9:11 a.m., VRFA firefighters responded to a two-car vehicle collision on Lake Tapps Parkway. Firefighters arrived to find the vehicles blocking the roadway. They evaluated two patients, and one was transported to MultiCare Auburn Medical Center via private ambulance with minor injuries.
- Aid Call: (Auburn) On Saturday, May 18th, 2024 at 12:00 a.m., VRFA firefighters responded to an adult male who sustained multiple injuries after falling from the top of the overhang covering his backyard patio. The patient fell approximately 12 feet, landing on the corner of a metal table. Medics evaluated the patient on scene before he was transported by a private ambulance to Valley Medical Center for further care.
- Aid Call: (Auburn) On Sunday, May 19th at 6:59 p.m., VRFA firefighters responded to reports of an elderly male who had sustained injuries from a fall. Upon arrival, firefighters found the elderly male who had fallen off a barstool, landing directly on his face. The patient was evaluated and treated on the scene by firefighters before being transported to MultiCare Auburn Medical Center by private ambulance.
