On April 10th, public libraries across the nation are joining together for a one day giving event!
Library Giving Day is a chance for community members, library users, and book nerds to come together in support of our public libraries. You can show your love for libraries by making a donation to the KCLS Foundation online or in-person at your local library on Library Giving Day.
All donations made on Library Giving Day will be matched by a generous group of library lovers.
Your donation (whether you can give $5 or $500) will be matched, dollar for dollar*, to double your impact for our libraries! *up to $20,000 total
Donations to the KCLS Foundation on Library Giving Day, and year-round, fund vital programs including:
- Reading programs, such as Summer Reading and Raising a Reader, aimed at turning reluctant readers into bookworms
- Literacy Towards Citizenship which helps immigrants navigate the difficult process to citizenship through study materials, classes, and support
- and Spanish literacy programming such as Plazas Comunitarias that helps Spanish-speaking adults earn their GED
Please join this exciting movement and show your love for KCLS libraries by making a donation on Library Giving Day!
Social Media Giveaway
You can also spread the word by sharing why you love your library on social media and using the hashtag #Give2KCLS.
Anyone using the #Give2KCLS hashtag will be entered to win two tickets to the Literary Lions Gala on March 7, 2020. And be sure to make your post public so we can see it!
