A 10-year-old neighbor in the Riverpointe community of Auburn is organizing a vigil for George Floyd. The candlelight vigil will be held Friday, June 19 at 7:30 pm. All Riverpointe residents, adults and kids, are invited to come together to peacefully remember George Floyd.

Video shot by a bystander shows Floyd handcuffed, lying on his stomach and seemingly subdued as a Minneapolis Police officer, Derek Chauvin, kneeled on his neck for nearly nine minutes.
Officials state Floyd died shortly after the arrest.
Chauvin and the three other MPD officers involved in the incident have been fired. Chauvin is charged with second-degree murder, third-degree murder, and manslaughter. The three other officers involved have been charged with aiding and abetting second-degree murder and aiding and abetting second-degree manslaughter.
