Rail Hop’n Brewing Co’s Latest Beer Brews Hope

Nestled in the heart of downtown Auburn, Rail Hop’n Brewing Co. is focused on more than just brewing award-winning beer.  Whenever they have the chance, Rail Hop’n (as they’re commonly referred to) gives back to the community through fundraiser brews.  Currently, the brewery has three fundraiser beers on tap and will soon be releasing a fourth.

Bob Howard and Jenny Rogers of the Star Lake ABATE Chapter worked with Rail Hop’n to coordinate a fundraiser for Hope Sparks of Tacoma.  The group worked with brewmaster Billy Jack to create a new beer to raise funds for the Tacoma organization’s Hope’s Closet.  Hope’s Closet helps to provide clothing and other basic needs for Pierce County children and families who face trauma, abuse, and overwhelming life challenges.

The limited-run beer, ‘Fly Girl Especial,” was named by a raffle winner who is a flight attendant.  This new porter will be ready on December 21st.

The three other fundraiser beers Rail Hop’n has on tap are Mary Olson Red, Blue Brew, and Uncommon Valor.

Mary Olson Red is a fresh hop.  This brew has made over $231 with an expected $1,000 to be raised.  The money raised for field trips for Auburn School District students.  This is a limited run beer.

Blue Brew, a limited run pale ale, was brewed with the Auburn Police Officer’s Association. Expected to raise $1,000 for the association, this charity brew has already raised approximately $245.00 to date.  Like Mary Olson Red, Blue Brew is also a limited run beer.

Uncommon Valor is a bright citrus IPA brewed to support local veterans.  This beer has raised $285 to date but will not be a limited run beer.

In addition to partnering with the Star Lake ABATE Washington Chapter on Fly Girl Especial, Rail Hop’n will also be donating $1.00 of every pint and growler sold to the group.

So, if you like beer and want to feel good while drinking it, stop by Rail Hop’n Brewing Co to help support any of the local organizations they are helping to support.  If you don’t like beer, you can still stop in to Rail Hop’n to enjoy a cup of coffee or just the friendly atmosphere.  There’s always something going on in the taproom, like their upcoming Jingle and Mingle Plaid Holiday Party on December 13th.
