Officers performing an area check confirmed the pressure cooker-like device was the only item of concern, Crossley said. Residents within the set perimeter were contacted and evacuated or told to stay inside.

The Bomb Unit neutralized the device, allowing for further inspection of the pressure cooker. “After further investigation, It was indeed an empty pressure cooker with no explosives in it,” Crossley said.

Residents were contacted and advised it was safe to return to their homes.  No injuries or property damage occurred.
