Percussion Takes Center Stage in Auburn Symphony Orchestra’s Latest Performance

New performances are debuting nearly every week from Auburn Symphony Orchestra. Next up in their season is ASO Percussionists in Recital which releases on Tuesday, October 27th at 7:30 PM on YouTube, Facebook and auburnsymphony.org.

Another seasonal offering available anytime is their Auburn Symphony Halloween Hits! playlist on Spotify.

In ASO Percussionists in Recital, percussionists of the Auburn Symphony are taking center stage for a percussion extravaganza! Percussionists play an integral role in orchestras as they are responsible for a diverse array of sounds that uniquely enhance the color and
texture of music. In this special “Creatively Connected” production you will see and hear three ASO percussionists up close as they perform for you music that displays the true depth and breadth of the percussion sound world. On the program are solo works for marimba, timpani, vibraphone and multi-percussion. Percussionists are Phil Hanson,
Matthew Kocmieroski, and Gunnar Folsom.

Haunted mansionIn addition to new recordings, ASO is offering a Spotify playlist perfect for all your Halloween activities. Music Director Wesley Schulz has curated a selection of classical favorites for the season as well as some of the spookiest music from scary movies such as Psycho, Halloween and more! The music is available as a shared Spotify playlist and can be
found on the website www.auburnsymphony.org and on their social media pages (Facebook,
Twitter, Instagram).

You can still listen to several of ASO’s recent recordings online for free including, Around the World String Quartet, Uncommon Voices Wind Quintet, solo videos, and concert archives.

Check auburnsymphony.org regularly for updates including performances and links to learning and listening resources. The Symphony is offering their concerts for free as a commitment to remain Creatively Connected to the community during this time.
