Early Morning Police Activity Closes Auburn Street

Early Sunday morning Auburn Police responded to a residence on 37th St SE for a report of an armed robbery.  VALLEY S.W.A.T. was called to the residence to serve a warrant for suspects and evidence associated with the robbery.

The robbery victim was outside of the residence when officers arrived.  According to Auburn Police Commander Mike Hirman, he was a visitor to the residence.

“It was first treated as a barricaded subject. The street was closed for safety until the residence was cleared,” explained.

The residence was empty when police entered.  Hirman confirmed there have been no arrests at this time.  Detectives are investigating.
