A 33-year-old Tacoma woman died just after 1 AM Friday near Auburn, after driving south in the northbound HOV lane on SR-167 and colliding head-on with another vehicle. The collision occurred near 37th Street NW.
The driver of the second vehicle, a 62-year-old Renton man, sustained injuries and was taken to Valley Medical Center.
Washington State Patrol states the female driver was not wearing her seatbelt. It is not known why she was driving the wrong way.
