Cascade’s Free Group Rides program is in full swing and welcoming new riders. The rides, which take place every day and are located throughout the Puget Sound region, are free and open to everyone.
So far in 2019, Cascade has led nearly 1,800 rides with more on the way. Cascade Bicycle Club, the nation’s largest statewide bicycle organization, is powered by over 15,000 members and serves bike riders of all ages and abilities throughout the Puget Sound region and across Washington state. Ride Description:
Join us for a ride from the Regal Cinemas 17 in Auburn on a round trip to Baskin Robbins for a delicious treat! The months that have 31 days, Baskin Robbins does a great deal on their scoops, so lets take advantage! The areas that we will ride through include, the Interurban Trail, Frager Road, and the Green River Road.
This will be a 28 mile route at a moderate pace at 14-16mph!
Let’s meet at the start at 9:30am for our pre-ride safety briefing, with a departure at 10am.
We will climb and descend hills at our own pace, and our goal will be to stay together. If we have a tail or head wind this will also effect our pace.
Restrooms are available at the start. We will stop along the way for restrooms/water at miles 11 and 17.
You are encouraged to pre-register by clicking the red “Register Now” button above. There is no need to unregister if you decide not to ride.
Bring a spare tube and tools to fix a flat, just in case. Please have full fenders if the roads are wet, or you may be asked to ride at the rear of the group.
Note: If weather conditions meet the weather cancellation criterion listed above or if there are unforeseen hazardous riding conditions, the Ride Leader will post a ride-canceled note in the Comments section below at least two hours prior to the start and Ride Leader(s) will not be at the start location.
