Auburn Police responded to a report of a home burglary in the 300 block of Lea Hill Rd just before 2:00 pm Thursday afternoon.
According to the resident the suspect knocked on her front door and window before entering her rear slider. “He confronted the disabled resident and then left through, what [the resident] believes as the same door. She then hid in the residence and called 911,” said Commander Mike Hirman with the Auburn Police Department.
Multiple officers responded to the call and performed an area check for the suspect. Officers on scene “called K9 for a track. The track was unsuccessful,” said Hirman.
Some of the responding officers staged in the nearby Emerald Pointe Condominium parking lot.
The suspect was a “white male, 30 height, medium build dark hair scruffy face in a dark hoodie with jeans,” said Hirman.
