Auburn Police Investigating Armed Robbery

Auburn Police responded to an armed robbery call Saturday, February 22nd at approximately 9:40 pm.

A masked male entered Baskin Robbins (918 Auburn Way South) and produced a black handgun.  He robbed the clerk of an undetermined amount cash and exited the store,  leaving on foot.

The man “ran westbound toward F Street SE. A K-9 track was conducted with negative results,” said Auburn Police Commander Mike Hirman.

Investigators are reviewing video footage of the incident.

The suspect is described as “a man believed to be in his 20’s or 30’s, 5 foot 8 inches to 5 foot 10, medium build. [He was] dressed in all black and wearing a black mask and black gloves,” Hirman.
