The ARCO gas station on 15th Street NW was robbed at gun point in the early morning hours, Saturday April 27th. Now the Auburn Police Department is seeking public assistance in identifying, and locating, the two suspects involved in the armed robbery.
APD posted two stills taken from store video surveillance of the alleged suspects on the Facebook page Tuesday night.
“Suspect #1 is described as a Pacific Islander male, mid to late 20’s around 5′ 9″ tall with a medium/large build and a jawline beard. He was last seen wearing a black shirt with an unknown design on it, a black hooded jacket, also with an unknown design on it and grey sweat pants,” stated the post.
The post continued, describing the
second suspect “as a Pacific Islander male, about 5′ 9″ with a medium build, full beard and dark hair. He was last seen wearing a maroon t-shirt with grey sweatpants.”
APD Public Information Officer Commander Steve Stocker shared that there were two employees working at the time of the robbery. No injuries occurred. “No money was taken. Just Beer,” said Stocker. “It may be that the suspect did not intend to rob the place when he came in. He was denied purchasing beer due to the time and then pulled out a gun and took the beer.”
The APD Facebook post described that “the suspects were seen leaving in a silver 1999-2004 Ford Mustang GT with fender hash marks and a rear spoiler.” Stocker was “not sure what direction they went.”
Anyone with information about this incident is asked to contact the Auburn PD tip line at (253) 288-7403 and reference case number 19-05006.
