Sound Transit will close A Street NW between 1st Street NW and 2nd Street NW in Auburn daily from Monday, Aug. 3, through Oct. 30 for underground utility work, according to the agency.
The full road closure will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. and will include street parking and sidewalks in the work area near the Auburn Station.
Sound Transit said local access will be maintained for residents, emergency responders and businesses during the closure. Flaggers will assist with local access, including for businesses and residents who need to reach the alleyway near the southbound lane of A Street NW.
The west entrance to Auburn Regional Medical Plaza will be closed during the work. Access to the plaza will be directed to the east entrance at 1st Street NW and N Division Street.
Pedestrians should follow posted sidewalk closure signs and detours, Sound Transit said.
