What’s on Your Ballot: Washington State Governor

We recognize these daily posts are somewhat redundant. But we’re willing to risk annoying a few folks to get more folks to the polls (even if those polls are their kitchen tables). Voting is a fundamental part of our democracy. You may believe you’re one vote doesn’t make a difference, but some races have come down to just one vote. That could be you.

If you are a registered voter and do not receive your ballot, contact your county (King or Pierce) elections department. If you are not registered to vote in the state of Washington or need to update your voter registration, go to Vote.wa.gov. The last day to register to vote or update your registration online is July 27. Voters do not have to declare a party affiliation to vote in the primary.

The National Governors Association stated “Governors serve as the chief executive officers,” of their state. “As state managers, governors are responsible for implementing state laws and overseeing the operation of the state executive branch. As state leaders, governors advance and pursue new and revised policies and programs using a variety of tools, among them executive orders, executive budgets, and legislative proposals and vetoes.” Read More Here.

Statement
Our state is at a crossroads. Washington faces rampant homelessness fueled by mental illness and addiction, out-of-control spending, a lack of adequate funding for transportation, the human tragedy of the opioid crisis, and now COVID-19. Whoever you elect as governor faces an $8 billion shortfall. This is not a time for on the job training.

I am the only candidate with executive private-sector and legislative experience. I have an in-depth knowledge of budgetary issues and the effects cuts have on education and the most vulnerable, especially veterans, seniors and the disabled. I want to put taxpayers first, restructure state spending, reduce regulations and the size of state government. We can avoid massive tax increases or cuts to critical services that affect those most in need and I am the candidate to do that.

You can check my voting record and see the bills I’ve sponsored that address the problems we face like homelessness, public safety, mental health, transportation and the environment. I fought against the kindergarten sex ed bill, opposed needless tax increases that just grow government, and voted against policies that hurt your family.

Four years ago, the incumbent repeatedly promised not to raise taxes, only to sign $25 billion in new taxes this year. Now, his inconsistent response to COVID-19 has caused untold economic and social devastation to families and small businesses around the state. As your next governor, I will be fair and transparent.

We must bring our state together. An urban-centric approach to governing which ignores the needs of rural Washington and our diverse economy, like agriculture, is not good for the state as a whole. Check out my comprehensive plan, the Blueprint for Washington. It refocuses state government to put the people back in charge, not special interests.

Other Professional Experience

Education

Community Service
Director of the Chamber of Citizens, member of Mensa, former Planning Commissioner for the City of Maple Valley, creative consultant for Civility Solutions, which provides civility training to police departments, businesses, and schools nationwide.

Statement
It’s about to get even more complicated.

The next governor is facing a multibillion-dollar budget shortfall, widespread unemployment, a virus that will be with us for a while, plus lingering resentment over the shutdown. The next governor of Washington is going to need a skill set that we have not seen in politicians before.

This is not the time for angry ideologues. This is not the time to hire someone who uses this office as a steppingstone for their next job. This is the time for good management, servant leadership, real diplomacy, and complete indifference to partisan political fights.

The next governor needs to minimize the pain, so you don’t notice it, and be completely transparent about what your government is doing. Your government should be invisible when you don’t need it, and readily available when you do.

When one of my businesses suffered an 80% drop in sales due to a search engine change, I had tough choices to make. The answer wasn’t to simply cut expenses, raise prices, and complain about taxes. Creative and unusual ideas were what saved that company and made it #1 in its industry nationwide. The next governor needs to be this creative, must value freedom and personal responsibility, preserve liberty and real justice for everyone, and must be a true representative of the people; not a lifelong politician.

I am running for governor to be your servant; to be the manager you hire to work on its greatest financial challenge. I am running to introduce creativity, efficient design, transparency, and diplomacy to state government. As a business owner, my entire job is making sure our customers and employees are served well. With your vote, your next governor will have that same obsession for serving you.

Statement
I was treated like a criminal growing up because I chose Marijuana over prescribed pharmaceuticals. But now the state picks and chooses who is allowed to sell and grow marijuana with its unconstitutional Lottery. decriminalize it and stop the states theft. I am a small business owner who was targeted and attacked by the corrupt and negligent powers of the current administration. In 2017, they ran me out of business, slandered me to customers and made false reports about me cooking meth. I asked, even begged them for help, but they just deepened their attack. but I am from Shelton a street fighter and because of our current President and the transparency, I was able to request and receive FOIA. I found out exactly what they were doing with overwhelming evidence. I taught myself law and represented myself ProSe. I took the state to the courts and won Thurston county superior court case 19-2-01200-34. I promise to fight and remove the corrupt levers of power that control our state; and I know where the Fraud and waste is going. So, I re-opened my store and started this grass roots campaign to take our state back. I trust the people of Washington to think for themselves and trust themselves, so I know you have my back. I have people who know me in every city in this state. We will change the levers of power together and turn the tide on the ones that tried to make us criminals. WWG1WGA, so, I can’t lose. Life as an industrial worker confronting capitalism’s deepening economic, social, and moral crisis.

Community Service
Joining actions in support of unions, from the farm workers and fruit packers of the Yakima Valley, to struggles by smelter workers and miners in Arizona and Idaho. Participating in fights to unify the working class — against racism and police violence, in defense of women’s right to choose abortion, and defending immigrant workers.

Statement
Workers and farmers face the long-term economic, social, and moral crisis of capitalism. The response to the coronavirus only exposed and accelerated this crisis.

Safety, wages, and working conditions are under attack in rail and truck transportation, factories and packing plants, and retail. Workers need to fight for control over production to win safe working conditions, manufacture and distribution of quality goods, and protect the environment.

Our party promotes an action program to unite working people internationally and break down the barriers between those of us employed and unemployed. The working class needs to work. That’s where we go through struggles that bolster our confidence and strengthen our trust in each other and our capacities to fight. The Yakima Valley fruit packers’ fight for safe working conditions and better pay is an example for all working people. We urge your solidarity!

The Socialist Workers Party demands the federal government fund a massive public works program now to provide jobs at union wages for the millions tossed out of work. Workers can build needed hospitals, housing, schools and day care centers and replace crumbling infrastructure.

Farmers need solidarity from the working class and must be guaranteed the cost of production. Irrational breakdowns in the food market cause the destruction of milk, vegetables and livestock, as millions face hunger. The government must distribute this food to those who need it worldwide. The bosses divide working people by scapegoating immigrant workers My campaign fights for amnesty for all undocumented workers in the US.

Workers need a party that speaks in our interests—a labor party. We need to take political power from the bosses’ class and establish a government of workers and farmers! Tim comes from a long tradition of adoption: his father was adopted, Tim was adopted, Tim’s 3 kids are adopted. Tim advocates for easing adoption for parents and kids.

Statement
As Governor, my mission will be to fix Washington’s broken system. I’ll bring my battle-tested experience and proven results reforming government to serve you.

Imagine if Jay Inslee hadn’t betrayed voters by breaking his campaign promises to veto taxes, raising them 30 times instead. Imagine if Inslee hadn’t recklessly shut down thousands of small businesses, forcing a million people out of work, while letting mega-corporations remain open. Inslee’s lockdown spared his allies but punished everyone else. Inslee’s actions always benefit the special interests that bankroll him.

As Governor, I will serve you. I’ll reduce taxes, prioritize spending, grow our economy, guard your individual liberty, and protect your constitutional rights. For 22 years, I’ve fought for you with initiatives that cut taxes, strengthened our communities and made our streets safer. I’ve saved the people of Washington $43 Billion, while Inslee’s 30 tax increases cost citizens $50 Billion. While you can rely on me to cut taxes—because I’ve done it over and over—Inslee admitted he’s exploiting the economic crisis he caused to raise your taxes – he wants carbon taxes, income taxes, and a creepy “Pay-Per-Mile-Tax.” I’ll block all tax increases.

Inslee’s reckless policies created the most homelessness and violent crime in our state’s history. I’ll use common-sense strategies to get the homeless off the streets.

Inslee got away with taking $5 million from taxpayers for his campaign. His cronies in Seattle tried overturning your vote for $30 Tabs, saying you were “confused.” Under Inslee, this broken system no longer serves the people. Washington has a Seattle Legislature, Seattle Supreme Court and a Seattle Governor. Enough! It’s time at least one branch of government represents the rest of us.

Inslee betrayed you. Trust me with your vote and I promise I will fight for you.

Statement
Our economy and society has forever changed. For better or worse, it is likely there will be no going back.

We owe a debt to our essential workers, who put their lives at risk every day, to provide them with childcare and tuition-free college or trade school. Our farmworkers deserve strong workplace protections. Our health care professionals deserve a reporting infrastructure that takes their demands and whistleblower complaints seriously.

Healthcare, including mental healthcare, should be covered for all Washington citizens. We need to shore up our domestic violence and child abuse prevention and reporting infrastructure. We need to incentivize K-12 online learning infrastructure and opportunities.

We need to support Native American communities and preserve our ecological inheritance. We need to preserve the Salish Sea and work towards the ultimate removal of the Snake River Dams, while supporting and compensating farmers and other stakeholders.

Finally, Amazon’s practices have been anti-competitive and predatory. We need to transform Amazon into a public utility owned by the people.

Statement
Greetings fellow voters of our beginning Space Age. How do you want to lead your precious lives in this age of advancing, technological miracles? I, Goodspaceguy, want to help raise our living standard. Believing a higher living standard is possible, I studied business and economics and have taken science as a lifelong hobby.

Viruses will always attack you. Your immune system defends you. As governor, I will not shut down your businesses or forbid you to go to work. Shut downs lower the living standard. If we listen, economics can tell us how to raise the living standard. Scientific technology can also help raise our living standard. How can research, such as stem cell research, improve our bodies? How many robots would you want to supervise to make your work easier? Let’s make it easy for people to get into the workforce so that more people can help with the raising of the living standard and the paying of their bills.

On our Spaceship Earth, I’ve lived primarily in Washington State, Minnesota, Maryland, Missouri, Germany, and Sweden. I’ve concluded that we should look upon our world as a natural and beautiful spaceship.

From economics I’ve learnt that we should move away from the big government, command economy of force that is a heavy burden on taxpayers. We should move toward the voluntary, competitive, free market economy which uses profit to create jobs that are in balance with what consumers want. You consumers rule.

Because many people have the same birth name as me, I could not find myself on the internet. I went to court to alter my name, and now you can find me. Please use my findable name “Goodspaceguy.”

Separately, please refer to our world as “Spaceship Earth.” This concept might improve your descendants’ future.

Statement
I am running as a spokesperson for the anti-apartheid / reparations-now movement. My issues and solutions:

1) Raise awareness that Washington State is Native American land, and should be returned. Colonialism is no longer acceptable. 2) The current Governor’s biggest mistake is turning Seattle’s SVI building over to proven historical Negro vampire criminals. This is unconstitutional, and will be opposed in the courts and on the street.

3) Repairations must be paid to “Africatown” to repair / correct the cultural and economic damage done to the refugees from European colonial settler terrorism / slavery. 4) End the ethnic cleansing / “gentrification” of blacks out of Seattle’s historic central area and Tacoma’s historic hilltop (aka Africatown).

5) Remove the names / images of the “North-American Hitlers”, Washington / Jefferson, those mass murderers of Native American “Indians” and “owners” of hundreds of “slaves”. 6) Stop schools from teaching any children that Washington and Jefferson (“Indian” killers / slavers) were champions of “freedom, justice, equality and democracy” when they were in fact brutal “terrorists”.

7) End homelessness by providing land, materials / expertise for homeless to build their own mortgage-free housing. (have you ever seen a homeless bird?) 8) Limit “police” to 5-year terms—in which they must complete teacher’s certificate qualifications and then teach for 5 years before returning to law enforcement—to prevent PTSD and stop criminals hiding behind government issued badges / guns.

9) Our state must form its own bank to finance ending homelessness through sweat equity. 10) Since race is arbitrarily based on “skin color”, redefine “race” based on hair color, which is much easier to change—especially for “white minded” integrated Negroes like Court Justice “Uncle” Clarence Thomas.

Today you will choose a leader that will inherit a pandemic. I still believe the most important words of the United States Constitution is “We The People”. We cannot ignore that our country is now in a state of a catastrophic crisis on all levels of government. Getting things done is what I offer Washingtonians. Healing and regaining the trust of the people is my first order of business when I take office. Understanding cultural differences and working with many elected leaders around the world has prepared me to work with people of all ethic background. It is time to break with practice tribalism and really care and deliver the needs to the people of Washington State. I want Eastern Washington to know I care and know the important roll you play to this Washington. This election is about you and the needs for your families future. We have one of the most regressive tax structures in the country. Working people are hurting and this must stop. At this moment and time. We all must care. I have always went to battle without an elective seat for social and economic justice. I will lead this state with a open but progressive mind. Our state has and always will be a state of innovators and people who know how to fight for the right things to be done. It is our time now to embrace a new future. We will prevail. Stay safe.

Statement
By trade and training, Dr. Raul Garcia is a healer. An emergency room physician who has spent his career on the frontlines healing and protecting people during life’s most vulnerable moments.

Raul escaped Cuba at the age of eleven. He became a protector of his family and those he loved, and also of the American dream and the values it represents. In Cuba, he witnessed firsthand the devastating and demoralizing effects of socialism. From those early experiences, Dr. Garcia began a life of service. Through a career in medicine, leadership on national boards and professional associations, and success as an entrepreneur, Raul is the ideal person to lead Washington past Covid-19 and back to health and prosperity.

Dr. Garcia envisions a Washington bound by shared interests, not divided by political ideology. He offers his candidacy as an alternative to the career politicians that care more about serving themselves than the people.

A staunch opponent of any increase in state tax, he believes in limited, efficient and accountable government. His leadership will focus on economic prosperity and the health of our citizens.

Dr. Garcia will assure that never again will tens of millions of tax dollars be wasted on fraudulent claims while health care workers do not have protective equipment and our nursing homes are closing due to lack of state support.

A collaborative unifier, he will listen to and fight for the small business owner, the farmer, the teacher, and for every Washingtonian striving to achieve the American dream. As an immigrant, Dr. Garcia values freedom and opportunity for all, and above all. In this unprecedented time, Dr. Raul Garcia offers different leadership focused on making Washington state the most triumphant, thriving, and prosperous state of our union.

Statement
Over the past 35 years, Washington State has had an elected Democrat as Governor. With decades of empty promises and slow progress, look where it has led us to. As the next Governor of Washington State, I, Tylor Grow, will eliminate the partisan gridlock that keeps our beautiful state from reaching its true potential by streamlining the way Washington State handles tax revenue.

I will reform our methods of collecting tax revenue regarding infrastructure to greatly benefit all of Washington’s residents – not just the select few in the state’s urban centers. I will reform how we allocate funds for Washington State’s public schools in order to help solve our students.

I will reform our state’s health care system by providing a public option for our state’s residents. No one should have to worry about the cost of health care. I will stop penalizing tax-funded organizations and programs for not using enough provided tax funds. This leads to wasteful spending which should be discouraged.

I will reform how we handle our homeless population. I will invest in building large dormitories in which resources for wellbeing, rehabilitation, and career-building cases will be available. This will keep people off the streets and add to our booming workforce.

As a gay person of Mexican descent, I know what it’s like to be discriminated against. I want to help everyone in Washington State no matter: race, gender, sexual orientation, income, and/or ability.

Vote Tylor Grow for Governor of Washington State!

Statement
No new taxes. Third party audits on all taxes to find waste or misuse. Better health care for all. Equality of opportunity for all. Term limits. All these policies I am in favor of, but they are just talking points. I am twenty-six years old but even I know corruption runs the government. We expect politicians to lie and cheat. We also expect them to make millions of dollars through corrupt means while in office, and we just accept it. That is why I am running for office without accepting donations to my campaign and refusing any partnerships or sponsors. I am doing this so you know that I’m here to serve you, not to gain money or power.

Holding government accountable is something no one in politics will do and I am sick of it. Together with the people we will implement new bills to punish corruption and enact Title 18 Section 241 and 242 of the United States Code to remove the rot in government. Epstein didn’t kill himself. Bringing back trust in the government is my goal, and instilling fear of the people into the government is my purpose. Freedom is not free. I am paying my share here and now. Will you?

Born and raised in Eastern Washington, I’ve lived and worked throughout the state, and this has given me the opportunity to talk with people in all walks of life, and to consider the variety of issues facing them. Turn off reactor at Hanford; stop making the mess. Nationwide public internet access for everyone and net neutrality. Ban the use of certain weed killers on federally funded sites. Overturn Citizen’s United.

Picture a state and a nation where your children can afford to live. A land without discrimination, and where the working person receives their just reward. A place where worker’s rights are protected; where innovative, effective leadership inspires; and where elected officials are chosen by the people, not by their financial contributors. Rather than propose campaign reform, I’m going to implement it. I am not an attorney, and I am not a politician. Therefore, there will be no question about who I am working for. I will lead Washington into the 21st century.

As the first Senator not financed by PAC money, and hailing from one of the best states in the Union, I will stir the very dredges of the old guard in Washington D.C., and at the same time provide inspiration to anyone else who truly cares about the future of our great Nation. I am backed by %100 of Orca. Please vote for Thor Amundson, U.S. Senate.

Statement
Many activists and a state-sponsored working group are working on healthcare reform, here in Washington, our home. Coming to The People’s desk for signature first, as Washington State Governor, I would most likely sign that reform, given my sense of it, as the next step for healthcare as an unalienable right.

We need our Robust Economy, rural and urban, to pay for our programs. Before, it was only good, fair reduced taxes for The Great Majority, followed by education, our state’s Paramount Duty, as mandated by our Washington State Constitution and Target Zero transportation deaths and transportation major injuries before this decade’s end. Our pandemical tsunami has changed the lay of the land.

Now We all require that rural and urban Robust Economy and good, fair revenue, yes Fair Taxes, family wage jobs, thriving independent, employee-owned businesses et cetera.

In my mind, it really is Full Mobilization, All Hands, Non-Profits, Profits and Government needed, urged, coached and inspired. As Governor, Washington our home, I will establish a Kitchen Cabinet concept in Office of the Governor to educate and move our People, our economy our society, Onward. We already have top quality, volunteers waiting in the wings.

This is our home. We want, We deserve more. Putting People First, Keeping People First. It short, I want the good, better and best angels of our nature, fully mobilized, not the ugly, worst and flawed earth angels of our nature. My apology for long-winded polemic, but you did press the on button and it worked.

The only limits to our realizations of tomorrows will be our doubts of todays. Let us move forward with strong and active faith. Adapted from FDR’s last undelivered Warm Springs address. For more info, access https://www.facebook.com/gene.hart.568/ (360) 473-9064, geneh@silverlink.net

Elected Experience

While still young, gubernatorial candidate Dylan Nails has had the elected opportunity to serve in whatever capacity he could, at the level he was at. Serving two years as Associated Student Body President of Colfax Jr./Sr. High School, and Representative of Eastern Oregon University’s Residence Hall Association for one year. He looks forward to gaining more elected experience, and publicly serving his community and home state.

Education
Current University Student studying Secondary Education.

Community Service
Former Event Coordinator for St. Baldrick’s Head Shaving Event for Childhood Cancer Research, Tom’s Turkey Drive Volunteer, current Summer Camp Youth Counselor, and Youth Snow Ski Instructor.

Statement

Dylan Nails, a 20 year old college student, comes from the beautiful hills of the Palouse in Eastern Washington State where he has lived, worked, and went to school most all of his life. Dylan loves skiing, videography, traveling, and exploring what Washington State, and the greater Pacific Northwest has to offer. He currently attends Northwest Nazarene University, and studies Secondary Education, with an Emphasis in History, and a minor in Special Education. When elected, Dylan is in favor of encouraging increases for Teacher Salaries, increase funding for State Parks and conservation, Debt Relief program for students of Washington, promoting more representation of young people in politics, and being a voice for Washington State, as much the East as the West.

Dylan’s weakness is also what makes him shine as a candidate. While Dylan is young, and may be lacking some of the elected experience his opponents may have, he brings as fresh, new outlook and perspective for Washington State, that is both beneficial and crucial for the next stage in our States history. As a college student, he is not looking to make a career in politics, but in fact getting in, and getting what needs to be done for Washington State accomplished.

He can’t wait to see what the future holds, and looks forward to seeing what he can do for our State.

Wheeling for Governor as Paraplegic

“Keep Washington Wonderful”

Why am I Wheeling for Governor? Because I believe Times of Crisis Reveal Women’s and Men’s Hearts. Panic initiates Response. It’s fundamental Darwinism! It’s fundamental Christianity, It’s fundamental Religion and Community! Stand and fight or Retreat and compromise. Live with honor and show your opponent some Quarter in mutual times of Crisis or Live for power and take advantage of your opponent purely because the opportunity is there to be had!

The colonies did not rebel Because the Time was ripe, the moment opportune! What Great things could possibly come from such virtues less tactics? We Stood up against an ever-increasing Tyrannical King and decided the time of being ruled by other’s was an inequity we would no longer justify. We did not take on the issue of slavery out of convenience or because the political landscape was ripe. We took up the fight against slavery because the owning of slaves was tearing our country apart and we had to decide “Do we really Believe all men to be equal.”

Maybe this is why War is always doomed to fail. When Struggling for survival against lions and tigers and Bears and maybe such monster’s like Hitler and Stalin and Mao, attacking such monsters when they sleep or find themselves in an unforeseen snare is validated. But using such means whenever they present themselves against other human beings may in the end be the end of us all!

I believe Many have shown their true colors and are using this time of crisis as justifications to Grab power and justify authoritarianism and chip away at the foundations of our country. Not money, not slavery, not fear, not greed or power. That Every Citizen has the right To Freedom!

Statement
We meet again. I ran for this office in 2016, introducing a word I coined. Do you remember that word?

I’ve learned a lot since then. In fact, I’ve been working on a series of books focusing on politix, as I call it. They include the first ever general political reference focusing on Washington State and its de facto capital, Seattle. SeaWA Politix and what may be the first truthful book about Bill Gates will be published before the general election. A third book, focusing on coronavirus conspiracy theories will probably be published by the time you read this. You can learn about my books @ www.kpowbooks.com.

I’m not afraid to tackle the toughest issues, from sex trafficking to telling Bill Gates to shut up and pay his fair share of taxes. As a former teacher with the corrupt Seattle School District, education reform has always been one of my top issues. As a former wildlife biologist in Alaska, I recognize environmental protection as the most important issue of all.

On the international scene, we need to put an end to our decades-old tirade against China. I view China as a friend. Israel is the enemy. In fact, my book SeaWA Politix is illustrated with photos taken with a Chinese Huawei smartphone, which boasts the best camera(s) of any smartphone.

Please ignore the Seattle Times and other sleazy media and their endorsements! If voters can’t think for themselves, what hope is there?

In these trying times, it’s more important than ever to believe in the power of one. As Edward Abbey said, a patriot must always be ready to protect his country from his government. In that spirit, my crusade won’t end with this election campaign. Elected or not, I will continue to learn and fight the good fight.

Statement
Anton brings years of leadership experience in the private sector where he has spent his career solving problems. Anton understands the important issues facing Washingtonians, but are ignored by the out of touch political establishment. Anton is not a career politician, will not play politics and will not be bought. His businesslike approach offers real solutions to the soaring issues we face.

Anton’s vision for Washington to be a state that is efficiently and effectively serving its people. He sees what is broken and will enact real solutions. He will respect the will of voters, cut taxes, reduce bureaucracy, and uphold the Constitution and Individual Rights. He will drain the Olympia swamp and end the drug fueled and government enabled homelessness by holding agencies accountable to their budgets and outcomes. He will end government interference in our lives, the extreme liberal agendas pushed on our children and attacks on personal freedom. He envisions a Washington that is friendly to businesses and individual liberty – a Washington where Constitutional rights are protected, businesses thrive, and individual success is not punished by uncontrolled taxation through the death tax, estate recovery tax and real estate taxes.

Under Anton’s leadership, the state will reduce regulations, attract new businesses, allow existing businesses to thrive and reopen closed industries.

As a refugee from the Soviet Union, he has seen the damage caused by too much government, too much regulation, and the importance of a balance of powers in maintaining a free and prosperous life.

The Governor of Washington State should not be a career politician but instead a leader and executive manager who is working for the people. As a proud American citizen whose family escaped communism, Anton has realized the American Dream – a dream that is alive and is deserving of every hard-working Washingtonian.

Statement
Putting people over party. It’s what I did as a City Councilmember in my hometown of Lake Forest Park. It’s what I’ll do if elected as your Governor.

As an anti-Trump Republican, I know Washingtonians appreciate a leader who tells it like it is. Many of my fellow Republicans get upset when I say Donald Trump is a phony and an assclown. As is Tim Eyman. Fair enough.

Valuing individuals over party affiliation, I’ve supported sensible Democrats who’ve proven competency to govern. I proudly helped Bob Ferguson’s campaign for County Council. He was a great Councilmember; he’s a dreadful Attorney General. This year, I backed Senator Amy Klobuchar for President and endorse Hilary Franz’ reelection for Lands Commissioner.

As for Jay Inslee? 32 years in office, now he wants 4 more. Has he earned it? Traveling the country last year, utilizing $4 million dollars of taxpayer money for travel and State Patrol security detail. All for a miserably failed campaign in which he never had a chance.

I’m writing this in May, as a first time, soon-to-be dad late this summer, wondering about the world into which my daughter will be born. 2020 will be a depression year: GDP down 10%, DOW below 20,000, 40 million unemployed, and staggering deaths from coronavirus. But out of despair… we can find hope.

It’s time to End 36 Years of One-Party Rule. I support two-year terms for the Governorship. If elected, I will step aside in 2022 so Washingtonians can elect a new Governor that November. I invite you right now to pause your reading, and visit ResetWA.org to learn my plans for advancing electoral reform, balancing our massive budget shortfall, and to fight COVID-19 to save lives and restore our economy. Statement
The State of Washington is incomparable. Her diversity, geography and economy would power a strong independent nation. The upcoming term demands one of the hardest working governors in history, to halt in-fighting and guide our state to a swift, safe recovery.

My grandparents immigrated to Washington in the early 20th century, starting a small dairy farm. They would be proud of their descendants – children and grandchildren who have become professionals in almost every imaginable industry, served their country, and of course continued to farm. I was raised on a hop farm along the Yakima River. I drove tractor, fed the pigs, lugged irrigation pipes and worked non-stop through summer harvests.

After attending the USC Film School, I was hired as the station manager for KUCB, a public TV and radio station in Alaska. I met a remarkable, strong woman in Dutch Harbor, and we returned to Washington to start a family. Our oldest son recently graduated from the University of Washington, where our youngest son is a freshman.

I have been in public service for eleven years, working closely with city, state and county agencies. I am best positioned to oversee the executive branch of our state, and will make the most efficient use of my time while never fundraising. In addition to working across the aisle, the Governor needs to thoroughly understand all state agencies, and earn the respect of employees and the public. I have demonstrated the ability to work with all levels of government, bringing together opposing ideas for stronger solutions.

This election must be about independence. Washington is independent. Republicans and Democrats are good people, though the current party leadership promotes divisiveness and distrust. I would be honored to be your Governor, and will promote respect for all Washingtonians.

Ian Gonzales
(Prefers Republican Party)

Elected Experience
Ian Gonzales brings a clean slate to politics. He is someone who has no affiliation with interest groups, lobbyists, or large corporations. This means Ian has no other motive than to do what is best for Washington.

Other Professional Experience
Ian started his business in 2018. The company Yesu Creations, although a for-profit company, has donated to local organizations helping veterans returning home with PTSD.

Education
Attendee of Washington State University since age 15. Majoring in biology and minoring in business administration, he’s finished his junior year, completing his business minor.

Community Service
Spent nearly 10 hours a week serving at church and the community.

Statement
I’m running for Governor because my generation and those that follow will reap both the benefits and the long term consequences of the decisions made by our current administration. Washington has become increasingly tax-happy, yet many of the programs that tax dollars are being dumped into aren’t reaping their intended benefits which needs to change. These programs have better solutions waiting to be applied that would allow the people of Washington to pay less taxes; yet still fund the things that are necessary, like quality roads. Washington as it stands is more divided than ever. Our state needs a leader who is invested into the prosperity of our state’s future, someone who can unite both sides of the mountains, and is willing to govern all 39 counties. Homelessness is a major challenge being presented in King and surrounding counties. This is an issue that everyone’s tax dollars have a stake in, though it could be 200 miles away, and still the problem has not been solved. Either our money is not going where the state says or our current leadership isn’t able to find ways to better the homeless situation. Either way, homelessness needs to be addressed in all counties.

Even more cause for concern with our current leadership, I-976 which would have decreased vehicle tabs to $30, was voted on and passed, then held up in court, not giving the people what they voted for. While similarly, I-1639 which inaccurately portrays all semi-automatic rifles as “assault rifles” is a direct hit to our second amendment rights. These alarming events shows us Washingtonians that our voice is dwindling. If you want a governor who you can trust, believe in, and know won’t ignore your votes, remember me, Ian Gonzales, with your primary vote on August 4th.

Elected Experience
Not a Professional Politician; President of Local 1121, since 2014

Other Professional Experience
Helped build the Washington D.C. Metro 1976-82. Promoted to supervisor. Own business 1986-96. TSA 2010-19.

Education
PhD of Industrial and Organization Psychology 9/2007. Dissertation “The Effects of Cultural Diversity in the Workplace,” published with the library of congress and sited 5 times.

Community Service
Volunteered over 1000 hours a year since 2013 to represent TSA officers. Reported officers’ welfare to the media 12/2018 shutdown. Helped officers get over 2,500 gifts cards from passengers, other unions and residents during the shutdown. Cook for homeless on occasion.

Statement
Dr. D’Almeida has always been vocal about the inhuman treatment of homeless and lack of affordable housing. Veterans and foster parents need more psychological support. Housing the homeless and treating their medical issues is cheaper than leaving them on the streets. The money used to clean after the homeless, will be used to house them.

Students should not have to be punished with student loans when trying to become productive members of society. The Police; firefighter and schools, should have better and more up-to-date technology. All students and teachers should be provided with free bus and light rail pass for as long as they carry partial credits. Kindergarten to high schools need free nutritional lunches. Free day care for low income people.

I will introduce a bill to protect first responders and give them hazard’s pay and another bill that will protect small business during a pandemic. Pandemics will be dealt with one city and one county at a time.

Those with substance abuse need medical and psychological support. A woman’s body belongs to her, not the government. No Second Amendment violation. Our 70 million backup army does not kill innocent people, criminals use guns to kill innocent people! Property Taxes stays the same until the minimum wage goes up. Women and other minorities need more support. Our Immigration Laws are in shambles and must be Updated. LGBTQ, WOMXN and LatinX have rights too and need support. State Parks must be upgraded. No more for-profit jail or detention centers.

It is not what we have, but what we do to help others during a time of struggle that define us who we are. My goal is to serve “The People,” not control them! Where we go from here is up to you.

Community Service

Statement
The people of Washington are resilient and deserve leadership that reflects their character. Jay Inslee’s proven experience in difficult times and his successful economic vision are exactly what Washington needs as we rebuild our economy and help families and businesses recover from the pandemic.

The measure of our leaders is how they respond to unexpected crises. When Washington became ground zero in the country for COVID-19, Governor Jay Inslee met this health and economic crisis head-on, with bold action based on science and guided by public health experts.

The Ellensburg Daily Record praised Governor Inslee, writing, “In the moment when he has been tested the hardest, Inslee has stepped up, making the tough calls and providing the leadership needed to get this state through the COVID-19 crisis.” The Chair of the University of Washington’s Department of Global Health praised Inslee’s leadership for “having saved countless lives.”

Under Inslee’s leadership, Washington recovered from the last great recession to become the country’s #1 rated economy, and our state is poised to rebound more quickly thanks to the Governor’s progressive policies. Our state has the nation’s best Paid Family and Medical Leave, we have expanded health care coverage to 800,000 Washingtonians and created a long-term care benefit for seniors that puts us in a better position to address public health dangers and immediate economic hardship.

Inslee’s Career Connect program provides on-site training and apprenticeships for thousands of students who have plans other than four-year college and his investments in forward-thinking renewable energy industries have prepared us to endure and recover from the economic pain so many are now living through.

Governor Inslee’s steady leadership and pioneering vision make him exactly the governor we need now to guide us to a better, stronger and more just future for Washington.

Community Service

Statement
Are you better off today than you were four years ago?

Is it easier to find a job, keep your business open, walk safely in your community, educate your children and protect your family’s health?

Under this Governor unemployment has skyrocketed, homelessness, crime and drug abuse have exploded and public health bureaucrats spent time pushing for heroin injection sites instead of preparing for a pandemic. We need a Governor who will listen to everyone, not just the powerful and well connected. Olympia is working for political insiders who don’t need the help while ignoring those devastated by a health crisis and economic collapse. Our state’s only mental health hospital was so poorly mismanaged it was decertified by the federal government leaving the mentally ill to wander the streets.

As I’ve travelled to all 39 counties, the message is consistently clear: we need a Governor to bring Washington together, not divide us into camps of “essential” versus “non-essential”. I will lead Washington’s economic recovery. I have a lifelong record of community service here and around the world. I will not take a salary as Governor and will instead donate it to local nonprofits helping the mentally ill and homeless. I have a track record of bringing people together as a successful businessman and bipartisan leader who has cut taxes while protecting the most vulnerable. I will veto any attempt at a state income tax. I will never use my office to take away liberties our founders fought and died for and will uphold our U.S. and State Constitutions.

My wife Lindie and I are both the product of Washington public schools and believe in supporting education. Our five kids join us in serving the disadvantaged around the world.

I humbly ask for your vote. I won’t let you down. #freedom

Statement
Unity, Prosperity, Honor these are the things I want to bring to Washington. They are the hallmarks of a stable, reliable government and a functioning society. These three things will bring Washington into a new golden age. With them, we can create “a city on the hill” to the rest of our nation!

Unity It’s a powerful hopeful word, especially because today we live divided. From our state to our families and communities. Red and Blue, a Donkey and an Elephant. We let these things define us and divide us. Why? is that the Washington we want? I don’t think so. Cooperation and unity between the major parties, Working together despite our differing opinions to build a better, unified Washington. That’s what Washington needs and what’s what I’ll bring.

Prosperity, how you go about bringing prosperity? I believe prosperity comes from three things the land, the People, and the Schools. The land is our natural resources, our farms, our forest, and our seas. The people are our culture, our businesses, and our dreams. Lastly, schools are how we teach our young people. To be independent, resourceful, insightful, courageous, and honorable. Instead of boring them to death, I want to create a love of learning and life long growth. Not just ensuring a better education but a better economy as companies flock to our superior workforce.

Finally, Honor, Honor, is everything. It means leaders you can trust. Politicians, working towards what’s best for the people, never being bought, always leading from the front, and doing the hard jobs no one else will. A state where people are always worried about the integrity of their leaders can never move forward. Because if you can’t believe that the other side is saying. you can never understand each other.

Statement
I am choosing to run for Governor of the Great state of Washington because I believe it is time for change. I see money for the homeless, yet our homeless population does not diminish. I see money spent on the schools, yet the districts are wildly unequal. Poor districts do not have the computers and laptops that the wealthier  districts have, even as technology becomes more vital to our children’s education. I am very concerned that we are overtaxed and our money is being misspent .

Many want to spend effort and money to focus on all of the state’s problems. I want to create new solutions for those problems. I want to live in a state where men and women who work their 8-hour day -40 hour work week have the health insurance they need. The middle class fuels the economy in our state and I want to protect that. Under my leadership you would see these changes in policy.

At the top of my list I want to create equality in education for every district. I will apply common sense to the validity and effectiveness of each program and determine if they produce adequate results relative to their cost. As Governor, I will prioritize a balanced budget. As one of the most overtaxed states I want  to bring our state back into focus and lower our spending to a reasonable level with the ultimate goal of lowering state taxes for all.

For the sake of the future of you and your children please vote.

Thank you
Richard Carpenter

Statement
My previous 8 campaigns have never been to win but to tell voters Sound Transit should’ve never been allowed to spend billions adding Prop 1 extensions to Central Link.  Now it’s only a question of whether it’s the Northgate operation in 2021 or East Link in 2023 that vindicate my concern

This year it’s to debunk claim fossil emissions are an existential threat.  That Al Gore’s “Incomvenient truth” is in fact a monumental lie.  Ice core temperatures from four prior interglacial periods were higher than current levels with 300 ppm CO2 far lower than current 410 ppm.  That during those periods the CO2 level was the result of increased out gasssing from ocean when temperatures were warming and increased dissolution when temperatures were cooling.  Both warming and cooling were driven by the Sun.

It was the Sun that raised temperatures and CO2 levels after the last ice age, culminating in the Medieival Warming Period, Little Ice Age, and subsequent warming prior to significant fossil emissions.  The increased fossil emissions have added to the Sun’s impact on CO2 over the last 60 years raising level to the current 410 ppm.

However it’s the Sun not higher CO2 levels from increasing fossil emissions that can significantly inccrease global temperatures.  The ~5 gigaton carbon (GtC) annual fossil emissions currently increase CO2 by ~2ppm.  If emissions averaged 10 GtC over the next 50 years the additional 500 GtC would add 200 ppm raising the current level from 410 to 610 ppm, or from 0.041 to 0.061%, still a tiny fraction of the 96.5% CO2 that warms Venus.

My campaign and stopeastlinknow blog are to expose the futility of adding trillions more in an attempt  to limit global warming by reducing that increase.
