South King County Fire Training Consortium to Train in Pacific

VRFA, press release, valley regional fire authorityOn Tuesday, November 26th the South King County Fire Training Consortium (SKCFTC) will be conducting live fire training in the City of Pacific. The structure being used for training is located just east of HWY 167 between the 24th St East exit in Sumner and the Stewart Road exit in Pacific. If you travel HWY 167 you may notice smoke in this area throughout the day with heavier smoke during the afternoon commute.

This training is being organized for SKCFTC Recruit Academy #8. Each of the 38 recruits will rotate through residential fire scenarios where they will gain valuable experience in fire dynamics, fire tactics and hose management.

The SKCFTC consists of 13 fire agencies from throughout South King County including the Valley Regional Fire Authority. It was formed in 2012 to allow agencies in South King County to pool their personnel and resources to deliver cost effective training and provide more consistency when agencies respond to emergencies together.
