The CHOICE

The blind auditions game show – bringing job seeker and employers together.

THE CHOICE is an event to provide job seekers with an opportunity to deliver their 60-second commercial and meet with employers in the apprenticeship field.  It happens at WorkSource Auburn on September 27 from 1 to 3 pm – with a job fair from 2 to 3 pm.  When you apply to participate for THE CHOICE, plan on doing preparation such as attending a workshop and working on your 60-Second Commercial in a one-on-one coaching session.  At the actual event, Employers will listen to 60-second commercials from several job seekers.  We call this a “blind audition” as the employer and job-seeker cannot see each other.  Those who participate will see their communication skills rise up to what employers are looking for.  Contact Laura Westergard with questions at lwestergard@esd.wa.gov or 253-363-3954.
