Auburn Farmers Market Cancelled Due to Air Quality

This Sunday, September 13, Auburn Farmers Market has been cancelled due to poor air quality.

“Although forecasts show a slight improvement in air tomorrow, many of our farmers who travel from eastern Washington must be out in the fields today to pick and prepare produce,” said Mayor Nancy Backus in her weekly update. “Many have indicated to us that they are not comfortable being outside for such extended periods of time today and so, in consultation with them, we have followed suit with many other markets in the region and are canceling the market for tomorrow.”

This week’s Farmers Market was the second to last of the season. At this time there are no plans to reschedule the cancelled date.
