Weaving Wall Hanging – $65 – 4 Hours – Instructor: Allison Harding
Saturday, June 8th 11am to 3:30pm (30 min break for lunch)

Are you ready to learn a new craft? You will love weaving!
Start with just a few supplies, learn a variety of weaving techniques and finish with a beautiful piece of art for your wall. All tools and materials are provided, so this the time to try weaving! Allison will teach you plain weave, soumak, rya, pile loop and more, giving you a repertoire of stitches to create with. You’ll learn how to choose and combine fibers for textures. Use up your scraps and add items like feathers, wool locks, leather, fabric and more! A loom and tools will be provided for class and Allison will discuss how you can make your own set at home. You’re going to want to make more than one wall hanging!
All materials and tools are provided.
Optional: Yarn scraps of any type/weight, strips of fabric, lace scraps, or anything you would like to try to incorporate.
You are welcome to bring your own lunch (we have a large fridge) as we will be taking a 30 minute lunch break!
