NBCT Facilitator Training – August 6 – August 7, 2019

To ensure consistency across the state, facilitators are required to take Facilitator Training prior to hosting a cohort. This two day training hones facilitation knowledge and skills, provides a deeper understanding of the revised National Board process, as well as develops skills in working with adult learners. 

This year, National Board Facilitator Training will also include a virtual Pre-Training component that is required for all attending the in-person event. The purpose for the Pre-Training is to equip facilitators with a baseline of prior knowledge to avoid the sit-and-get structure and provide more time for discourse among participants during face-to-face training. The suggested time for the Pre-Training is about 60 minutes depending on the participant’s needs. Pre-Training will be hosted as course in the Canvas LMS, which all registrants will be invited to join by OSPI.
