Auburn’s Ice Rink
Now-January 31st | Monday-Friday 3pm-7pm, Saturday-Sunday 11am-7pm
Main Street Plaza
For the first year ever an artificial ice rink pop up is located in downtown Auburn! Brought to the city by the Auburn Downtown Association, the temporary rink is located the Corner of E Main St & Division St, across from City Hall. Purchase your tickets across the street at Gosanko Chocolate at 1 East Main Street. Tickets are $6 for kids (under 12) and $8 for adults (skates included). Plenty of restaurants within walking distance. Open daily until January 31, 2019.
Gingerbread House Contest
November 29th-December 10th
Community and Event Center
New this year, Auburn’s Gingerbread House Contest! This fun event celebrates the holidays and brings the community out to see what Auburn can build! Any structures real or imaginary, houses, igloos, spaceships, etc. will be accepted. This event is free and open to all groups and individuals.
Ten entries will be on display at the Community & Event Center from November 29th until December 10th at noon. Stop by and vote on your favorite display.
Celebrate

Performing Arts Center
Pacific Ballroom Dance will present “Celebrate” on two nights, November 29th and 30th at 7:00pm. Come kick off your holiday season with this joy-filled performance. Tickets are $15-$18.

Santa Parade & Tree Lighting
Saturday December 1 | 4:30pm
Downtown Auburn, City Hall
A free, festive and fun children’s parade, which is followed by community caroling and the lighting of the City Hall Christmas Tree and a spectacular synchronized light show.
The Santa Parade is open to all children’s and community groups! Gather all your friends, clubs, groups, troops, and more and join us for this fun and festive holiday parade. Registration is required to walk in the parade and will be available day-of. Participants are encouraged to review the parade rules and regulations.
Holiday Snack and Craft

This is a great opportunity for families to create fun holiday gingerbread houses and ornaments – a warm way to ring in the holidays and a yummy activity prior to the parade. Admission into the Snack & Craft is $5 at
the door. You can pay the admission in advance at the discounted price of $3/$4 (resident/non-resident) ONLINE, over the phone by calling our Parks Front Desk at 253-931-3043, or in-person at the Auburn Community and Events Center (910 Ninth ST SE, Auburn WA 98002).
Photos with Santa Paws
Saturday December 1st & Sunday December 2nd | 9am-3pm

Does your dog dream of a new toy? Does your kitty yearn for some catnip? Bring them to the AVHS Shelter and let them tell Santa Paws! No appointment necessary for your pet’s photo taken with Santa Paws. A $25 donation includes a photo card plus digital photo files of 50-75 photos on a bone-shaped USB flash drive for your use, plus dog toys and treats (cats will have cat toys and treats). A professional package worth $400.
For $40, you’ll receive the photo-print card, the digital photo and a copy of the 2019 AVHS Pet Calendar, featuring beautiful images of some of the pets in our community. Even if you don’t bring your pet to the event, you can purchase a calendar separately for $15. Dogs must be on a leash and cats and other pets must be in a carrier. The proceeds from this event provides care for our abandoned and homeless animals at AVHS. Get your pet photos done early!

Red, White & Blue Holiday Concert

Sing in the holidays with this annual free community concert performed by the 133rd Army Band of the Washington National Guard. Enjoy a festive and rousing concert of patriotic music honoring our troops, together with all of your favorite holiday music and carols. Tickets are free, but required for admission and will be available for pick-up only beginning November 1 at the Auburn Community & Event Center (910 9th Street SE). Limit 6 per family.

We’ve partnered with Gildo Rey Elementary School to collect 300 unwrapped toys for Children ages 0-12. Last year there weren’t enough toys to satisfy the need and some children went without. This year, we are asking Santa for a toy for each child. (Donations can be dropped in our collection box at Lakeland Starbuck’s or can be brought to the Tree Lighting Event)

Once again, we’re teaming up with our pals at Gosanko Chocolate to bring you our 2nd annual Chocolate & Beer pairing event. As a bonus, this year we’ll pair up our newly-released Woodinville Brewing Company’s smoked porter.
