Mayor Backus to deliver 2026 State of the City address on Wednesday, Feb. 25 in Auburn

Auburn Mayor Nancy Backus will deliver her 2026 State of the City address on Wednesday, Feb. 25, at the Muckleshoot Casino Events Center, according to the City of Auburn.

Doors will open at 5 p.m. for a reception with refreshments and time for attendees to connect, and the mayor’s address is scheduled to begin at 6 p.m., the city said.

The event is free, and plus ones are encouraged.

Attendees are asked to reserve a seat by 5 p.m. the day before the event through the city’s RSVP link here, which also includes additional details such as parking information.

The annual State of the City address is an opportunity for residents, businesses and community partners from across south King County to hear directly from the mayor about city priorities and ongoing initiatives.
